Townsquare — Privacy Policy

Townsquare is a private community management app for organizing recurring Blood on the Clocktower game nights. We collect only the information necessary to operate the service: your name and phone number, which the community host adds to the system.

Mobile information

Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data are used solely to deliver login verification codes and game session communications (invitations, reminders, and post-game recaps). We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information to any third party for marketing purposes. The only third party that receives your phone number is our SMS provider, Twilio, for the sole purpose of sending the messages you opted in to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Mobile opt-in data is collected solely to operate the messaging service and is not sold, rented, or disclosed for any other purpose.

SMS consent

Members are added to Townsquare by their community host. When you are first added, you may receive an initial invitation text with a link to sign in. You will not receive recurring messages until you sign in and provide consent.

You provide consent to receive text messages by checking the opt-in box presented at sign-in. When you consent, we log a record of your consent, including your user ID, phone number, the date and time, and the exact consent language displayed to you.

Message frequency

You can expect to receive approximately 2–6 SMS messages per game session, including a verification code at login, an invitation, an optional reminder, and a post-game recap. Sessions occur approximately 4 times per month.

Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to SMS sent or received.

Opt-out and help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can opt back in by replying START. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at the email below. Please note that because SMS is required to sign in to Townsquare, opting out of messages will prevent you from receiving login verification codes and using the service until you opt back in.
